Born and raised in Sarasota, Derek Stottlemyer graduated from Riverview High School and then completed his schooling at the London School of Economics. He served in the Tramm Hudson for Congress campaign and was a board member of the Sarasota Young Republicans. He continues to deliver presentations to conservative groups across the Sarasota-Manatee area.
