Weekly Wisdom | American Pride II
We Should Be Proud
As we approach America’s 250th birthday, it’s important to reflect on the good things happening day to day in our wonderful country. The liberal media would have you believe we live in a racist, dystopian hellscape, but the international visitors to America celebrating the World Cup would beg to differ. So in the spirit of last week’s Substack, here is another list of positive items that should encourage even more patriotism.
Good news is all around us:
The United States Men’s National Team just defeated Australia 2-0, securing first place in our group and our advancement to the next round. Echoing what many soccer analysts have stated, this is the most talented team of American soccer players ever assembled.
Also today, President Trump unveiled the gorgeous new Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews. Gifted to the United States by Qatar, this gorgeous new Boeing 747-8i will serve as an interim plane until Boeing completes the long-term Air Force One. The aircraft will soon begin final testing before being placed into presidential service.
Earlier this week, while in France for the G7 Summit in Evian, President Trump signed an MOU (memorandum of understanding) between Iran and the United States at the Palace of Versailles. This is a huge step forward in bringing the Iran War to a final and complete resolution. Consequently, oil prices fell substantially as markets priced in the likelihood that the war would end.
The 2026 Reindustrialize Summit took place this past Tuesday and Wednesday, with young entrepreneurs and engineers discussing their desire to rebuild the United States' defense industrial base. Our nation’s best and brightest gathering to discuss industrial policy is a major positive development. If America is to be made great again, we will need an advanced manufacturing sector that produces the best goods for both our consumers and our military.
All of these stories shouldn’t distract us from the overarching MAGA mission of deporting illegals and bringing down inflation. But we also shouldn’t forget to take time to reflect on the little things as well as the big achievements that occur so often in the land of the free.
