Weekly Wisdom | The Tech Right

The New Powerhouse of the Republican Party

Yesterday, President Trump presented Michael Dell with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, while Elon Musk and Jensen Huang received National Medals of Science at the Golden Age of American Innovation Summit. President Trump continues to champion science and technology unlike any president in modern times. And his allies in tech - the so-called Tech Right - are among the world’s most powerful and influential individuals. The MAGA movement should better understand President Trump’s smallest and most powerful political faction.

Some interesting facts and thoughts about this group:

  1. Some Tech Right members are making lasting contributions to our republic, like Michael Dell of Dell Technologies. In December 2025, Dell pledged to donate $6.25 billion to 25 million American children’s “Trump Accounts.” As of today, that pledge has been fulfilled, and millions of American children now have a vested stake in the future of corporate America.

  2. The Tech Right has been instrumental in championing and participating in rebuilding the defense industrial base of the United States. Entrepreneurs like Chris Power, Palmer Luckey, and Elon Musk are creating automated factories and weaponry that will modernize the U.S. military at a better price.

  3. Whether they are prominent figures like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel or smaller startup entrepreneurs in Austin, the Tech Right sees the national debt and the radical left as genuine threats to the United States and the West in general. If the United States and Western countries fall to globalism, the future of tech looks bleak. Radical leftists want to remake the United States in the image of Europe, and it isn’t difficult to see what’s happened to their economies and tech industries.

  4. The Tech Right is leading the development of robotics and AI, and its members believe we must lead in AI to contain China and grow our way out of the national debt. Economic data shows that the companies the Tech Right leads, like SpaceX, Nvidia, and Tesla, have been the primary contributors to economic growth since the beginning of the second Trump term.

  5. The Tech Right, like President Trump, has a populist streak that seeks the betterment of the citizenry while strengthening enforcement of our borders.

With the midterms approaching, most polling shows Democrats will retake the House, and possibly the Senate. With President Trump’s coalition fractured, it remains to be seen which faction will emerge as the Republican Party inevitably evolves. Given the Tech Right's vast wealth, importance to our economy, and close ties to Vice President Vance, this influential group of visionaries should continue to gain influence within the Republican Party in the coming years.
