Weekly Wisdom | Gratitude for america

A Reflection

The day after Thanksgiving is a good time to reflect on the many blessings we have as American citizens. Despite the hysteria in the mainstream media and many agitators on Twitter, the United States is still the greatest country on Earth for enjoying economic freedom and living life on your terms. And under President Trump’s exceptional leadership, many of the metrics are trending in the right direction.

There is plenty to be thankful for:

  1. We remain the preeminent economic and military power on Earth under President Donald Trump, with a GDP of approximately $30.5 trillion and GDP per capita of $89,600. Only small countries like Iceland, Singapore, and Switzerland have higher GDP per capita.

  2. In addition, we remain the world’s financial capital with the U.S. dollar still functioning as the world’s reserve currency. This gives the United States enormous leverage on the international stage to strike beneficial trade deals and to impose sanctions in the service of bringing about peace. And President Trump has used our privileged financial position to do just that.

  3. From January to September, the United States’s foreign-born population has decreased by approximately 2 million, highlighting President Trump’s strict immigration policies. Illegal and legal immigrants strongly favor Democratic policies and politicians, so reductions in their population are beneficial for the country.

  4. In the next few years, we will likely see the greatest economic boom of our lifetimes. Due to visionaries like Elon Musk and President Trump’s embrace of manufacturing and technology, the living standards for all Americans will significantly increase. Consider that the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is forecasting 3rd quarter GDP growth of 4.1%!

  5. Americans still have the Bill of Rights and a president dedicated to protecting our ability to express ourselves and defend ourselves. Democrats, on the other hand, seek to erode every God-given constitutional right so they can increase their power over the citizenry. But as long as we keep electing MAGA Republicans, our rights will continue to be exercised freely.

It is easy to give in to despair, and this blog sometimes paints a bleak picture to show reality as it currently is. And though the task to reclaim this country from globalist evil remains, it should not prevent us from thanking God for the many blessings we have as Americans. The whole world would still move here if the opportunity presented itself. So, during this holiday season, let’s take the time to acknowledge the privilege we have as Americans and do our best to make life better for those who are less fortunate. We. Are. Blessed!
