Weekly Wisdom | July 18th, 2025

I’m thrilled you’re here to read my first Weekly Wisdom post on Substack! I intend to post a new Weekly Wisdom every Friday of the year, offering commentary on the topics of politics, business, and technology. Let’s begin.

Don’t despair about the country, because a technological revolution is underway. Here are five significant developments that took place this week in the world of technology:

  1. Yesterday marked the conclusion of the Reindustrialization Summit 2025, held in Detroit to showcase the entrepreneurs and venture capitalists supporting the manufacturing renaissance in the United States.

  2. Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed both the GENIUS Act and the CLARITY Act, with the former being signed into law today by President Trump as part of “Crypto Week.” These laws will help the United States to remain the worldwide leader in financial infrastructure and cryptocurrency.

  3. President Trump announced $90 billion in investments in both technology and energy in Pennsylvania at the first-ever Energy and Innovation Summit. More investments in energy will provide the needed fuel for the booming AI sector.

  4. OpenAI released its first AI agent, which allows the “agent” to perform more complex tasks than a typical AI assistant. Over time, these agents will revolutionize work and significantly boost productivity.

  5. On Monday, the Trump Administration approved licenses for Nvidia to sell H20 GPUs to China. The CCP is either going to use Huawei or Nvidia for its AI chips, so it may as well be an American company that benefits.

Looking ahead, President Trump is set to deliver the keynote address next week at the “Winning the AI Race” event hosted by the Hill and Valley Forum. The Trump Administration and its powerful allies in technology are committed to winning this “tech war” with China.
